Uruguayan newly appointed ambassador with a residence in Moscow Anibal Cabral Segalerba delivered the copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, the foreign ministry said.
The copies of the credentials were addressed to President Karimov.
During the meeting the sides discussed the prospects of developing the bilateral relations in various areas, especially in trade-economic and investment areas.
The sides expressed interest in the institutionalization of relations. The Uzbek-Uruguayan dialogue will be systematic. The joint work on the legal framework of cooperation was considered relevant.
The issues of cooperation as part of the international organizations, including the UN and its structures, some international and regional issues were also considered at the meeting.
