Construction ministries of Uzbekistan and Russia create a special mechanisms for the arrival of labor migrants to Russia, Trend reports referring to the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan.
According to the information mechanism of "manual control" of construction is being introduced with the participation of citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey in the field of construction and housing and communal services in Russia.
Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of Russia Irek Fayzullin said that according to the new mechanism, representatives of Russian construction companies or regional authorities can now apply to the Ministry of Construction with a request to invite migrants to a particular facility.
It is noted that the application will be reviewed by the commission within three weeks.
He also said that after the opening of the borders, a new mechanism for the entry of foreign workers into Russia will be created.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government and the profile commission of the State Council until March 1 to consider the issue of simplifying the attraction of labor migrants to work at construction sites.
It was instructed to consider the issue of establishing a simplified procedure for attracting workers who are not citizens of Russia, including those from certain CIS countries, to perform construction and installation work, in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19.
