Uzbek bank signs first long-term loan agreement with Turkish bank

Uzbekistan’s Agrobank signed a long-term loan agreement with Turkish Eximbank, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Agrobank.

According to the information, a $25 million loan agreement between Agrobank and Eximbank was signed during an online ceremony. It was noted that this is a historic event for Agrobank since it is the first transaction with such a respected bank.

Considering that Turkish technologies have proven themselves well in the Uzbek market and meet the price-quality requirement, the demand for them does not decrease, which means that it generates a demand for sources of financing.

“The foundation that was laid between the two banks will allow the development of comprehensive cooperation in the banking sector,” the message said.

Agrobank JSCB is the largest bank of Uzbekistan, with an extensive network of branches throughout the country, including Karakalpak Republican control and 12 regional offices, 177 branches, and 169 mini-banks, 248 special cash offices, and 187 money transfer offices. Today, the bank provides high-quality services to over 200,000 businesses and more than 3.5 million individuals.

Established in 1987 Turk Eximbank as Turkey’s official export credit agency began to implement its programs at the beginning of 1988. Turk Eximbank meets the financial needs of export sectors in line with the developments taking place in the global and Turkish economies.
