The volume of all loans issued by private banks of Uzbekistan in 2021 increased by 42.5 percent compared to 2020, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
This figure in 2021 amounted to 46.3 trillion soums ($4.2 billion), and in 2020 amounted to 32.4 trillion soums ($3 billion).
The volume of loans of the banks with a state share in 2021 amounted to 280 trillion soums ($25.8 billion), which is an increase of 14.5 percent compared to 2020 (244.4 trillion soums or $22.6 billion).
In 2021, the volume of loans of the banks with a state share in Uzbekistan exceeded the volume of loans of private banks by 6 times which amounted to 233.7 trillion soums ($21.6 billion).
The total volume of all loans issued by banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 326.3 trillion soums ($30.1 billion) in 2021.
