BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. The real estate market of Uzbekistan showed a noticeable increase in activity in April 2022, Trend reports via the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) of Uzbekistan.
According to CERR, in April 2022, the number of registered real estate purchase and sale transactions in Uzbekistan amounted to 23,400, which is 15.1 percent more than in March 2022 (20,300).
This figure increased by 12.6 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 20,800.
In terms of regions, the highest annual growth rates in April were observed in Khorezm (39 percent), Surkhandarya (32 percent), Namangan (29 percent), Jizzakh (27 percent), Samarkand (25 percent) regions.
Relatively low growth rates in the number of transactions in the real estate market were observed in the Syrdarya (2.6 percent) and Tashkent (2.2 percent) regions, as well as in the city of Tashkent (3.8 percent).
The analysis also showed that the relatively high share of real estate purchased by legal entities in the Jizzakh (4.6 percent) and Navoi (5.1 percent) regions indicates the importance of real estate for business in these regions.
