Uzbekistan discloses value of construction work done over 6M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20. The value of construction work carried out in Uzbekistan from January through June 2022 amounted to 60.3 trillion soums ($5.5 billion), which is an increase of 22.6 percent compared to the same period of the last year (49.2 trillion soums, or $4.5 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

During this period, most of the construction work was carried out in the country’s Tashkent city for a total of 14.5 trillion soums ($1.3 billion), followed by the Tashkent region for a total of 5.6 trillion soums ($512 million), Samarkand region (4.1 trillion soums, or $376.7 million).

In 2021, construction work worth 107.4 trillion soums ($9.9 billion) was carried out in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the value of construction work carried out in 2020 amounted to 88.1 trillion soums ($8.1 billion).
