BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. General Motors to support Uzbekistan’s UzAuto Motors company to increase production at three plants by 1.5 times - up to 500,000 vehicles by the end of 2023,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
General Motors will help organize an uninterrupted supply of parts with microchips: control microcircuits and on-board electronics, which are not produced in Uzbekistan.
This year, UzAuto Motors plans to produce 340,000 cars at its plants in Asaka and Pitnak cities of the country.
Previously, UzAuto Motors launched the production of two new car models - Chevrolet Tracker and Chevrolet Onix. The volume of production of these models is planned at the level of 190,000 cars per year.
