BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. The value of all loans issued by private banks of Uzbekistan from January through July 2022 increased by 38.4 percent compared to the same period the previous year, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
This figure in the corresponding period amounted to 55.8 trillion soums ($5.1 billion), and from January through July 2021 amounted to 40.3 trillion soums ($3.7 billion).
The loans of the banks with a state share from January through July 2022 amounted to 290.6 trillion soums ($26.6 billion), which is an increase of 10.7 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (262.4 trillion soums or $24 billion).
From January through July 2022, the loans of the banks with a state share in Uzbekistan exceeded the loans of private banks by 5.2 times, amounting to 234.8 trillion soums ($21.5 billion).
The total value of all loans issued by banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 346.4 trillion soums ($31.7 billion) from January through July 2022.
