BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. The value of construction work carried out in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent from January through November 2022 totaled over 28.3 billion soums ($2,4 million), which is an increase of 2.8 percent compared to the same period of the last year, Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

During this period, most of the construction in Tashkent city work was carried out by large construction organizations (35.6 percent), small enterprises and micro firms (56.3 percent), and by private constructors (7.5 percent).

Furthermore, the value of construction work carried out in Uzbekistan from January through November 2022 amounted to 115.1 trillion soums ($10.2 billion), which is an increase of 20.9 percent compared to the same period of the last year (95.2 trillion soums, or $8.4 billion).

According to the statistics, most of the country’s construction work was carried out in Tashkent city for a total of 28.3 billion soums ($2.4 million), followed by the Tashkent region for a total of 10.4 trillion soums ($924 million), Samarkand region (7.7 trillion soums, or $686.3 million).
