TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 6. McKinsey & Company global management consulting firm has decided to provide advisory support for sustainable development in the field of renewable energy in Uzbekistan, Trend reports.
The details of the agreement were discussed during the meeting between Laziz Kudratov and Natalia Boksha, a partner at the Munich office of the company.
No further details have been disclosed yet.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan is currently on track to achieve a 25-percent share of renewables in the total energy balance of the country by 2026.
"Our objectives have undergone slight adjustments, primarily aimed at expediting processes. By the end of this year, our target is to commission approximately 2 GW of new renewable energy capacities. Moreover, our initial goal of achieving a 25-percent share of renewable energy in our energy balance by 2030 has now been recalculated, and we anticipate achieving this milestone by 2026," Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Uzbek Energy Minister, said.
