TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 15. Uzbekistan's power stations generated 254.5 million kWh of electricity on December 14, 2023, Trend reports.
Citing the country's Ministry of Energy, users received 247.2 million kWh of electricity during this time period.
In addition, thermal power plants burned 43.5 million cubic meters of natural gas, 18,100 tons of coal, and 12,100 tons of mazut.
On December 14, Uzbekistan consumed 159 million cubic meters of natural gas.
Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Energy, expects power consumption in the autumn-winter season of 2023 to exceed 45 billion kWh, a three-billion increase over the same period last year.
According to data from Uzbekistan's State Statistics Committee, the country produced 63.02 billion kWh of power from January to October 2023, a 5.1 percent increase over the same period in 2022.
