TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 28. The volume of Uzbekistan's exports amounted to $1.11 billion in January 2024, which is less by 47.1 percent year-on-year, Trend reports.

The data of Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that the number of exporters reached 2,601 in January.

In the structure of exports, 67 percent are goods, of which industrial goods account for 25 percent, food products and live animals - 10.4 percent, chemicals and similar products - 10 percent.

The main export partners of goods and services in the foreign trade turnover were Russia, China, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, France, Afghanistan and Tajikistan in January 2024. Their share in the total volume of exports reached 67.2 percent.

In the export structure of the country, a significant share was noted in Tashkent city, which is 32 percent, or $357.2 million, and the smallest share was recorded at the level of 1.3 percent, or $14.2 million in Jizzakh region.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $4.2 billion in January 2024.

As per data of Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure has decreased by $870.1 million or 17.2 percent year-on-year. The imports amounted to $3.08 billion (a 4.1 percent increase).
