TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 29. Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have talked over boosting trade of various industrial goods, Trend reports.
The issue was discussed between Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and co-founder of the Azerbaijani company Greenstream International Ramin Sharifov.
They reviewed prospects for boosting trade volumes of construction materials, textiles, electrical goods, leather, and pharmaceutical products from Uzbekistan, including through the Uzbekistan Trading House in Azerbaijan.
Greenstream International, established in 2018, is a manufacturing and trading company with regional branches that have their own warehouses and fleets of vehicles. The company is also a founding member of the Uzbekistan Trading House in Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan reached $23 million from January through February 2024. This amount, as reported by Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, is $11.1 million lower than the previous year's figure of $34.1 million.
