TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 3. The World Bank's (WB) total loan amount for Uzbekistan amounts to $4.5 billion, Trend reports.
The data of WB shows that $3.5 billion has already been allocated to Uzbekistan, while $567.1 million can still be drawn down.
The country also has $3 billion in debt to the bank.
Among other countries, WB’s biggest loan amount accounts for India ($79.5 billion). Indonesia ranks second with a loan amount of $67.3 billion, then comes Brazil ($65.3 billion).
Meanwhile, the ADB's current sovereign portfolio in Uzbekistan
was worth $5.06 billion as of January 2024.
The bank's current sovereign portfolio comprises 32 loans, one
grant, and one sovereign guarantee.
In reference to the bank's records, the ADB has contributed $11.5 billion in public sector loans, grants, and technical support to Uzbekistan so far.
