TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 3. Uzbekistan signed an agreement on opening a distribution center and trading house for its companies' products in Egypt, Trend reports.

The document was signed during a meeting between Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Egyptian El-Nasr Export and Import Company.

Uzbekistan and Egypt will boost trade, economic, and business interaction under the agreement.

The two sides agreed to develop mutual trade by opening one or more trade houses for Uzbek goods, as well as by establishing a distribution center and production cooperation in Egypt's Port Said and other regions.

Uzbekistan plans to export its products through these trade and distribution centers to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan and the Uzbek-Egyptian Arab Nihol Investors joint venture discussed the construction of a tourist complex.

A tourist complex worth $100 million is planned to be constructed on 42 hectares of land in Urgut district in Uzbekistan's Samarkand region. The project will create 500 new permanent jobs.

As a result, an agreement was reached to organize regular communication between the investor and official organizations and departments of Uzbekistan.
