TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 6. Uzbekistan and Saudi company DataVolt have discussed the acceleration of the implementation of the project on construction of a “green” data center, Trend reports.
According to the information, it became known during the meeting between the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, and General Director of DataVolt Rajit Nanda.
The meeting provided information about the ongoing work on the project of a “green” data center.
Furthermore, the general director of the company invited the ministry's team to the Artificial Intelligence Summit, which will be held on September 26-27 this year in the US. It was noted that within the summit there will be an opportunity to demonstrate Uzbekistan's IT potential to the world's largest IT companies.
To note, DataVolt launched the construction of its first data center in Uzbekistan on May 2. The data center with a capacity of 10 MW will be located on the territory of IT Park and will provide computing power for its residents.
The volume of investments in the future data center is estimated at $150 million. In total, DataVolt plans to spend up to $5 billion on projects in Uzbekistan by 2030.
