The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) will install 65 internal pumps in oil and gas wells to keep production levels stable and increase their production rate.

Keeping production levels stable, installing internal well pumps and supplying drilling platforms are the NISOC's most important responsibilities said the organisation's managing director, Hormoz Qalavand, the Jahan-e Sanat website reports.

The company's drilling platforms grew to 46 last year (Iran's solar year ended on March 19) to help keep oil production on an even keel, and it has signed three contracts to install 90 more internal well pumps in the future, said Mr. Qalavand.
