Azerbaijan, Baku, July 21/Trend M. Moezzi

The Eleventh Joint Tunisian Iranian Cooperation Commission wrapped up its latest session by announcing the signing of eight cooperation agreements.

The two countries agreed to work together on education, news and cultural exchanges, women's and families' issues, energy and standards, the iribnew.ir website reports.

One agreement covering private sector participation and the Commission's final joint pact were also signed.

Mehdi Ghazanfari, Iran's trade minister, who had flown to Tunisia for the meeting, said he was satisfied with what the two nations had been able to accomplish.

He expressed confidence that, given both countries' willingness, trade between them will first reach $500 million and then reach $1 billion.

The Iranian delegation will be returning to Tehran today.
