Main candidate of Iran’s Conservative Coalition of Five registers for presidential election

Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabifard, the main candidate of the 5-member conservative coalition, registered for Iran presidential election, the Mehr News Agency reported.

Aboutorabifard is First Depute Parliament speaker. Earlier he served as parliament member for several times and as head of Defense Ministry's department.
He said that competent individuals representing various political groups will serve in his government if he wins the election.

He promises to reduce Iran's dependence on oil revenues and shore up the manufacturing sector.

Aboutorabifard says with a dynamic diplomacy, the country can better safeguard its interests on the international scene.
Meanwhile, Mohammad-Reza Bahonar, one of the 5-member coalition of principlists for Iran presidential election, has said that introducing Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabifard as the candidate of the coalition has not been according to previous agreements.
The secretary of the coalition, Mohammad-Hossein Mousavipour, said on Thursday that the members had agreed to introduce Aboutorabifard as the candidate for the coalition.

The 5-member coalition, includes Manouchehr Mottaki (Former Foreign Minister of Ahmadinejad's government), Mustafa Pourmohammadi (Head of the main inspection organization of Iran), Mohammad Reza Bahonar (Deputy Speaker of Iranian Parliament), Yahya Ali Ishaq (Head of Iran's Trade Commerce), and Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabifard (MP, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Iran).
Iran will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.
