Iran's IRENEX reveals its weekly sales

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) was 39 trillion rials (about $82.3 million according to the SANA currency rate) last Iranian week (from April 20 through April 24, 2024), Trend reports via Iran's Energy Exchange (IRENEX).

A total of 97,300 tons of oil, gas, and other hydrocarbon products worth 27.7 trillion rials (about $58.4 million according to the SANA currency rate) were sold at the IRENEX last week.

Of the mentioned amount, products worth approximately 16 trillion rials (about $33.6 million according to the SANA currency rate) were sold on the domestic ring, while products worth 11.8 trillion rials (about $24.8 million according to the SANA currency rate) were sold on the export ring of the IRENEX.

Besides, 2.97 million kilowatt-hours of electricity worth 85 billion rials (about $179,000) were sold at the green energy section of IRENEX in the specified period.

The value of sales in other sections of IRENEX was 11.3 trillion rials (about $23.7 million).

To note, IRENEX sells its products at the SANA exchange rate.

The SANA system is a currency exchange system implemented by the Central Bank of Iran.

The sale of hydrocarbon products at the Iran Energy Exchange is of great importance to the country’s economy. Through the energy exchange, Iran seeks to provide hydrocarbon products needed by local companies as well as increase exports.
