By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran and Luxembourg signed a memorandum of understanding to boost cooperation in banking and industrial sectors.
The head of international affairs department of Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Jeannot Erpelding, signed the MOU in Tehran with the chairman of Iran 's chamber of commerce, Gholamhossein Shafei, Iran 's Fars news agency reported June 9.
Erpelding was heading a delegation of 40 businessmen from Luxembourg.
During the meeting, Shafei said that Luxembourg could have a more active presence in Iran 's infrastructure projects, especially in the development and small and medium industrial units.
For his part, Erpelding proposed launching a direct flight between the two countries. Meanwhile, he said that Luxembourg 's chamber of commerce is ready to boost cooperation with Iran in information technology and computer-based industries.
