Iran produced 178.1 billion cubic meters of gas during the last fiscal year (ended on March 20), Abdolhossein Samari, director of National Iranian Gas Company's Operations Department told Shana news agency on April 11.
Iran sweet gas production increased by 6 percent last year, compared to the previous year, Samari said.
He added that the country's liquefied petroleum gas production level also increased by 31 percent year-to-year to 2.731 million metric tons.
"About 1.628 million metric tons of ethane was produced during the last fiscal year, indicates a 10 percent increase year-to-year," he added.
