Some products of Iran Khodro and SAIPA, two Iranian leading carmakers, are among the country’s most sub-standard cars.
Iran Standard and Quality Inspection Company through its latest report has announced the names of 11 sub-standard cars produced by the country’s carmakers over the last Iranian calendar month (Nov. 21-Dec. 21, 2016), ISNA news agency reported.
According to the report, SAIPA 111, SAIPA 132, SAIPA 131, Peugeot Pars, Samand, Peugeot 405, MVM S 110, MVM 550, Lifan X 60, Tiba and Tiba Hatchback cars were below the required standards.
The output of the country’s carmakers over the first nine months of the current fiscal year (started March 20, 2016) surpassed 946,000 vehicles, indicating a 38.7 percent growth year-on-year.
This is while two French carmakers of PSA Group and Renault Group have earlier announced that their sales in Iran in 2016 witnessed a considerable surge.
