Iran monthly metal product export via ports falls

The Islamic Republic of Iran exported 568,391 tons of metal products through 20 ports across the country over the last Iranian calendar month ending Oct. 22.

The country loaded and unloaded 744,771 tons of metal products at its ports in the one-month period, indicating a 16.6 percent fall year-on-year, according to the latest report released by Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization.

In the meantime, the country imported 176,380 tons of metal products through the organization’s ports.

The organization loaded and unloaded 3.131 million tons of minerals and construction materials in the one-month period.

About 2.943 million tons of minerals and construction materials were exported through the country’s ports.

The report also says that 34,590 tons of machinery, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports.

Iranian ports saw loading and unloading of a total of 11.859 million tons of various goods and commodities, including food and metal products between Sept. 22 and Oct. 22.

In general, over 88 million tons of goods have been loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports during the current fiscal year (started March 20), indicating a 3.5 percent increase year-on-year.
