The head of the Iran-Oman Joint Chamber of Commerce said the Melli Bank’s branch in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku is no longer working under the auspices of Dubai Bank.
“Banks usually operate under the supervision of the Dubai Bank,” Mohsen Zarrabi told ILNA on October 21.
Melli Bank’s branch in Azerbaijan, however, is operating independently, he added.
“The bank is expanding its activities to be able to offer better services to economic activists of the two countries in the future,” Zarrabi said.
