Exports via ports of Iran's Abadan county increase

Exports through ports of Iran's Abadan county has increased by 47.7 percent, Director of Abadan Ports and Maritime Organization Reza Saffari said, Trend reports via IRNA.

Saffari noted that the increase was observed since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018).

Goods were exported through Abadan, Chavibdeh and Arvandkenar ports of the county, Saffari said.

Main exports were livestock, agricultural products, spare parts, tree and wooden products, fabric, fiber and weaving threads, building materials, household goods, he said adding that most of the goods were exported to the Gulf countries, including Iraq and Kuwait.

Abadan is a county in Iran's Khuzestan province, which is located in the country's south-western tip. The county's population is 231,000.
