The government has paid 90 percent of guaranteed purchasing of what to farmers and the remaining payment would be cleared by July 22, Iran's Ministry of Agriculture announced in a report.
The government economic coordination headquarters provided a report about its guaranteed purchase of necessary commodities on Tuesday, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The following report indicated the government has tried to act to supply sufficient commodities for future needs in order to prevent any problem in this regard in the new government.
Statistics indicate the government has guaranteed to purchase 8.2 million tons of wheat from farmers in 31 provinces in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) which valued at about $4.9 billion.
Iran's Ministry of Agriculture has announced that 6.1 million hectares of farming land cultivated with wheat in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) shows a 2.3 percent increase of cultivated crop compared to last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020).
