TEHRAN, Iran. Nov.30
Trend:
Iran is seeking to increase its trade with Turkmenistan, said the chairman of Iran-Turkmenistan Joint Chamber of Commerce Majid Mahmoudnejad, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Iran's export to Turkmenistan has declined to less than $500 million, and the two sides are currently looking to expand ties, Mahmoudnejad noted.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi recently held negotiations with Turkmen officials about boosting trade, cargo transit, as well as gas swaps, during his visit to Ashgabat to attend the Economic Cooperation Organization summit.
The Iran-Turkmenistan Joint Chamber of Commerce is representative of the private sector and seeks to solve the banking and money transfer issues, as well as visa-related issues.
