TEHRAN, Iran, April 25. Iran's cargo transit and export to CIS countries are increasing, said the customs supervisor of Razavi Khorasan Province Javad Jafari, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Iran's cargo transit via Sarakhs Customs in Razavi Khorasan Province has reached 1.6 million tons, while 324,000 tons of goods were transported via Lotfabad Customs to Turkmenistan," he said.
The agenda is to develop commercial and customs cooperation with the neighboring countries, Central Asia and Afghanistan.
According to the official, establishing centralized customs infrastructure, freight, rail and air transportation in the city of Mashhad will provide the possibility of appropriate trade and customs agreements with neighboring countries and the region of Khorasan Razavi province.
