Iran revives more industrial units

TEHRAN, Iran, August 19. The Iranian government has revived 352 industrial units in the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Ali Rasoulian, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The plan is to revive and promote 3,300 units in industrial cities in the current Iranian year, he said adding that the ministry has signed an agreement with the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) to provide loans to inactive industrial units.

The CBI has provided 12 trillion rials (about $285 million) for the revival of the inactive units. According to statistics 20 percent of the following industrial units were allocated to new owners and 11 percent were revived by the partnership with new investors.

Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization are currently working to launch 509 industrial cities,338 industrial zones, and five special economic zones.
