Value of Iran’s imports from Austria increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. Iran imported a total of 20,300 tons of goods worth approximately $81 million from Austria in 4 months, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), Trend reports.

As indicated in the data of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the imports increased by 6.15 percent in value, while decreasing by 69.5 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.

So, Iran's imports from Austria amounted to 63,200 tons worth $76.3 million in the same period last Iranian year.

During 4 months, Iran mainly imported various types of equipment, electric motors, spare parts, various types of industrial products and so on from Austria.

Alone in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2023), Iran imported 5,290 tons of goods worth approximately $26.7 million from Austria.

Overall, Iran imported 11.8 million tons of goods worth $19.5 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

This is an increase of 10.8 percent in value and 6.18 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
