BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. Tickets for passenger trains from Tehran to Van will be available for sale starting from February 20, Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh said during a press conference with Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu in Ankara on January 27, Trend reports.
She believes that the introduction of this passenger train service will greatly benefit tourism development between the two nations.
Sadegh also pointed out that boosting freight and passenger transportation between the two countries would be a win-win for their development and would also benefit the region as a whole.
The Iranian minister emphasized that positive decisions had been made in the fields of railway transportation, air transportation, and highway transportation between the two countries and highlighted the importance of increasing freight and passenger transportation.
