Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 14 /Trend S.Isayev, D. Khatinoglu/

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov visited Iran today, IRNA reported.

Reportedly, Ryabkov has arrived in Iran with an "unexpected visit", and already met with Assistant to Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili, Ali Bagheri.

According to news reports, Ryabkov is also supposed to meet Saeed Jalili himself, and probably discuss the issue of nuclear program and the negotiations on that issue between Iran and the P5+1 group.

The United States, Israel and some of their European allies have repeatedly said Iran is pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA, it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

Iran has repeatedly voiced its readiness for negotiations based on mutual respect while maintaining that it will not give up its inalienable rights under any circumstances.

The next round of talks between Iran and the P5+1 group should be held on December 13.
