Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues reached 10,788.8 million manat, while expenses – 11,327.5 million manat in January-August 2017, the country’s finance ministry said.
As a result, the state budget deficit was estimated at 538.7 million manat.
The state budget revenues for 2017 are projected at 16.766 billion manat, expenses - 17.941 billion manat.
The state budget deficit is expected to reach 1.175 billion manat, which is 1.8 percent of Azerbaijan’s GDP expected in 2017.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes transferred over 4.67 billion manat to the state budget in January-August 2017, which by 0.1 percent more than the forecast.
The revenues worth 7.645 billion manat (taking into account adjustment of budgetary projection) are expected to be obtained through the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes in 2017, which is 45.6 percent of the total budget revenues.
The country’s State Customs Committee transferred almost 1.71 billion manat to the state budget in January-August 2017, which is by 19.8 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
The country’s State Customs Committee transferred over 280 million manat to the state budget in August 2017.
Some 65.3 million manat account for customs duties, 202.15 million manat - VAT, 8.56 million manat - excise and 4.11 million manat - road tax in August 2017.
The country’s State Customs Committee increased the customs duties by 5.2 percent in August 2017 compared to August 2016. VAT receipts increased by 27 percent, excise receipts decreased by 3.9 percent, while road tax receipts - by 70.5 percent.
The customs revenues to the Azerbaijani state budget for 2017 are forecasted at 2.205 billion manat.
