On Friday, Acting Minister of Culture of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan and Minister of Culture of Iran Mohammad Hosseini signed the programme 'Cooperation in the field of culture and art' between the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of IRI for 2013-2016, News-Armenia reported.
According to the programme the parties shall facilitate the organisation of weeks of Armenian and Iranian culture in the two countries, as well as the participation of their representatives in international festivals, competitions and exhibitions held in those countries.
The parties are also going to cooperate in the field of joint movie production and demonstrations of Armenian and Iranian movies in both countries.
At the same time, the document provides for mutual visits of experts, students and library and museum specialists and the organisation of seminars and conferences, as well as exchange of books and periodicals.
The parties will also promote the enhancement of cooperation between the National Library of Armenia and the Archive and National Library of Iran.
The delegation led by the Iranian Culture Minister Mohammad Hosseini is in Armenia on a return visit on the invitation of Acting Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan.
