Members of Georgia's central, district and precinct election commissions have signed a Code of Ethics. The document was simultaneously signed at all levels of the election administration in the country.
According to the spokesperson of the CEC, Eka Azarashvili, this code combines basic norms of behaviour such as respect for the law, justice, impartiality, independence, transparency and professionalism.
The CEC said the Code of Ethics was worked out in order to hold transparent and democratic elections and increase the trust of voters.
