The United States will send 6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to partner countries, including Georgia, Trend reports via the President Biden’s administration.
"Specifically, the US will share 75 percent of vaccines through the Covax platform to the countries in need. For doses shared through Covax, the US will prioritize Latin America and the Caribbean, South and Southeast Asia and Africa. The rest 25 percent of vaccines will be donated to the countries in need, those experiencing surges, immediate neighbors and other countries that have requested immediate US assistance”, reads an official statement.
Georgia reported 779 coronavirus cases, 959 recoveries, and 23 deaths on June 4.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 401 COVID-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 69 cases, and the Imereti region with 66 cases.
