Georgia’s revenues from cigarettes export from January through October 2021 amounted to $22.8 million, which is an increase of 7.5 percent, compared to $21.2 over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
TOP-5 importers of cigarettes from Georgia (Jan. through Oct. 2021):
Russia – $9.36 million;
Azerbaijan – $9.32 million;
Iran – $714,080;
India – $657,360;
Libya – $533,700.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s cigarettes import over first 10 months of 2021 totaled $72.1 million, which is an increase of 17.4 percent, compared to $61.4 million over the same period of 2020.
TOP-5 exporters of cigarettes to Georgia (Jan. through Oct. 2021):
Ukraine – $55.7 million;
Armenia – $7.2 million;
the UAE – $3.6 million;
Iran – $957,400;
Serbia – $951,580.
