BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. The number of permissions granted for construction increased in Georgia from January through March 2022, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistical Office.
A total of 2,229 permissions were issued for buildings construction of 1.5 million square meters from January through March 2022, which is 15.4 percent more than in the previous year (1,931).
TOP-4 Georgia's regions for construction permits issued (Jan. through Mar. 2022):
- Tbilisi (53 percent);
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti region (11 percent);
- Imereti region (7.4 percent);
- Kvemo Kartli region (7.1 percent).
The permissions were issued for the construction of multifunctional residential complexes, which amount to a relatively large share of the granted permissions, hotels, trade facilities, industrial enterprises, agricultural objects, and other buildings from January through March 2022.
