(www.civil.ge) Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili has warned that we will end up in violence if the Russian-led negotiating and peacekeeping formats are not changed in South Ossetia and Abkhazia, reports Trend.
In an interview with the Brussels-based on-line magazine EUobserver.com Bezhuashvili said that "it's a Cold War with elements of hot."
"We are basically initiating a process of change in the format, a change in the negotiating format, a change in the [Russian-run] peacekeeping operations… We would like to reinvigorate [the EU] role to equalise the dominant power of Russia," Bezhuashvili said.
In the interview the Georgian Foreign Minister emphasized that Georgia is committed to peacefully solving the conflicts.
Bezhuashvili visited Brussels on September 14-17 and held talks with the top officials from EU and NATO.
