The Libyan-commissioned ship carrying aid for Gaza has resumed its voyage towards an Egyptian port, an Israeli official who spoke on condition of anonymity said Wednesday morning, DPA reported.
The Moldovan-flagged Amalthea, which had been immobile for much of the night due to engine problems, began moving again late Wednesday morning, but toward the Egyptian port of al-Arish rather than its declared destination of Israeli-blockaded Gaza, the official told the German Press-Agency dpa.
Israeli naval vessels are shadowing the vessel and preventing a possible change of course toward the Gaza Strip.
