Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el-Arabi announced his intentions to visit Syria this week, said el-Arabi during a press conference, Xinhua reported.
El-Arabi's planned visit to Syria is arranged according to the AL foreign ministers urgent meeting on the Syrian crisis held late August.
The Syrian delegate in the AL Yousef Ahmed told el-Arabi that Syria is welcoming his visit which probably will take place this week.
