The next meeting of Arab heads of state will be held in March 2013 in Qatar. Arab League foreign ministers agreed Wednesday at a meeting in Baghdad to hold the 24th Arab Summit in this Gulf state, RIA Novosti reported.
Oman, which was previously scheduled to host the Arab League summit, announced that it will not be able to because of "special reasons."
23rd Arab Summit will be held Thursday in the Iraqi capital. According to reports, only 9 or 10 heads of state will participate in the Baghdad summit. Tunisian President Al-Marzuki Munsef and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir have already confirmed their participation. The meeting will be attended also by the Comoros and Somalia leaders.
