The emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, arrived in Britain on a three-day state visit Tuesday that is expected to be dominated by talks on both trade and security, dpa reported.
The emir, 83, was received - under grey and rainy skies - with full military honours by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Windsor Castle - the British monarch's residence just outside London.-
During his stay, the emir will visit nearby Sandhurst Military Academy, and hold talks with Prime Minister David Cameron and industry leaders.
The two countries are expected to sign a major agreement on cooperation in security and policing, as well as intensifying trade relations.
