A Bahraini policeman died on Friday in an attack by anti-government protesters outside the capital Manama, the Bahraini state news agency reported.
It quoted the Interior Ministry as saying that the policeman died of injuries after "terrorists" hurled petrol bombs at security forces in the Shiite area of al-Sahla, dpa reported.
A teenager was killed in clashes between protesters and security forces near Manama on Thursday, which marked the second anniversary of a Shiite-led uprising in the small Gulf island.
Bahrain's Shiite Muslim majority has been protesting to demand political reform and greater freedoms from the Sunni monarchy.
