Israel, Jerusalem, 26 January / corr. Trend R. Abdullayev/ The delegation of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Middle East will pay a businesslike visit to Azerbaijan from 26 January to 6 February. Alex Shapiro Suliman, the President of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Middle East said Trend.
The visit aims at informing the political circles of Azerbaijan, its ministers, the representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a number of organizations and the representatives of the public about the activities of the Azerbaijani Diaspora bodies in Israel and holding businesslike talks between Israeli and Azerbaijani businessmen, Shapiro Suliman said in his exclusive interview with Trend.
The Congress plans to officially mark the anniversary of the Khojali genocide on 24 February together with the government structures of Israel. "The photos and video materials will be displayed, brochures, CDs will be circulated throwing light on the Khojali Genocide in the English language in the event at the initiative of the Congress and with the support of the Turkish Embassy in Israel and especially with the support of Namig Tan, the ambassador of Turkey to Israel. The Khojali tragedy of Azerbaijanis went down into the history of humanity as one of the most terrible mass terror acts," Shapiro Suliman said.
According to Shapiro Suliman, the Congress also will mark the most favorite holiday of Azerbaijanis, Novruz Bayram on the official level. The Congress of Azerbaijanis in Middle East plans official and grand opening of the Cultural Center of Azerbaijan during the holiday which will unite Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijani immigrants living in Israel who are interested in the maintenance and development of the traditions, language, culture and the history of Azerbaijan.
The main purpose of the Azerbaijani cultural center is the development of the language, original culture and national traditions, the establishment of the national library of Azerbaijan. "We will have grand opening of the Cultural Center of Azerbaijan established in Rishon- Le-Sion (the center of Israel) during the Novruz holiday which embodies our affection to Azerbaijan. "We expect Azerbaijani and Isreali officials, political circles and the MPs, the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Israel and the stars of the Azerbaijani show-business to take part in the opening ceremony," the President of the Congress said.
