The Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CE) Terry Davis fails to predict how the CE Ministerial Committee will react if Kosovo declares its independence.
"Kosovo Albanians are ready to declare their independence one-sidedly. If that really happens, the CE Ministerial Committee will have to react," Terry Davis said to ITAR-TASS.
"Now, I even do not dare to predict how the Committee will react. It is not a secret that the European countries cannot agree upon the Kosovo conflict," he said. "Kosovo is a part of Serbia. Country borders are not determined by CE. The UN Security Council deals with the matter. We know that the UN Security Council has many difficulties to settle the issue," Davis said.
On 22 January, the Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Tachi said that the day of proclaiming of Kosovo's independence had been already agreed upon with Washington and Brussels and would be divulged in near future, Vesti.ru reported.
