( dpa ) - US nuclear negotiator Christopher Hill was heading back to Beijing from Bangkok on Saturday to hold more talks with Chinese officials on how to move forward with the six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear capabilities, a US official said Friday.
Tom Casey, deputy spokesman for the US State Department, said Hill did not have a detailed plan of appointments "as yet," and there were no arrangements to meet with Kim Kye-gwan or other North Korean officials.
Hill was in Bangkok attending a seminar. After Beijing, Hill heads to Hanoi on Sunday as originally scheduled.
The six-party talks include China, Japan, Russia, the US and the two Koreas and aim to get North Korea to dismantle its nuclear programme.
