1 dead from Ohio ice floe, Coast Guard says

One person died Saturday in connection with the rescue of hundreds of people cast adrift on an ice floe in Lake Erie, a Coast Guard official involved in the effort said.

Chief Petty Officer Robert Lanier said a man had died. No other details were available. He said the rescue operation was still under way, CNN reported.
