Top football coach Jose Mourinho is set to coach Real Madrid next season in a deal worth 30 million euros, according to the Spanish daily Marca. The Portuguese-born coach led Inter Milan to victory this week against AS Roma in Italy's Serie A championship, AKI reported.
Inter is due to face FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League final at Madrid's Bernabeu stadium on Saturday.
If successful, Mourinho would celebrate his second treble win in his career.
According to Marco, Mourinho is close to the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, who has promoted costly transfer deals to advance the club.
The magazine said the 47-year-old coach is set to sign a three year deal in which he would be paid 10 million euros a season.
That is understood to be 6 million euros less - 2 million euros less per season - than what he earns with Inter.
In an interview with Marca, Mourinho said he would not change.
"I will not change: I say what I think and think what I say," he said.
